Caleb was born via c-section because I never went into labor. Everyone kept telling me to walk to make him come out, but that didn't work and now Caleb loves movement so much that I can barely put him down. We love our boy so much.
We are still waiting for the purchase of home to go through. It has almost been a year since we put an offer down and we have now just started to go through escrow a few days ago. God really tested our faith and patience with this place. We are continuing to wait on the Lord to see if He truly will give us this place to live or if He still has a different plan in mind for us. We are both at peace (at the moment) about waiting to see what He has in store for us.
That's all for now.... Caleb is calling :)

Just Waiting
Well, we finally have things all settled and ready for the baby to come. Things got a little stressful for a bit as we waited on the Lord to provide a place for us to move to, but within a week of our lease being up at our old apartment God provided His answer. We are able to rent the condo that we have been trying to buy since November. It all worked out really great and God provided for us financially through a very generous giver to still be able to buy the condo since it is no longer an approved FHA housing unit. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on out and we can finally buy this condo, we are just waiting for 2 more banks to approve the sale before going into escrow.
Thanks to many family members and friends, Neil and I have everything we need for Caleb. :) Now we are just waiting for Caleb to come. I am 39 weeks pregnant and I am so glad that I stopped working last week so that I can rest and clean before Caleb comes. I have been walking nearly everyday in hopes to speed things along, but so far he just doesn't want to come out yet. I think Lucy knows a baby is coming because she has stuck to my side even more than usual and she will lick my stomach every now and then. :) Hopefully he will come within the next week because we are all getting very impatient to see this little guy.

Change is coming!
Well, it's been months since this blog has been updated. Mostly because we haven't had anything really exciting happening...except for the fact that Valerie is pregnant.
Yes, we neglected this blog for too long. To date, Val is about 25 weeks pregnant (somewhere around 6 months). We are going to have a boy and his name will be Caleb. We chose Caleb after Caleb in the Bible as he was an incredibly faithful man.
Hopefully we can keep our blog updated now that we've got something exciting happening now. This should be good motivation.
Not that having a baby is big enough change for us, but it looks like we'll be moving in mid April. Yes, we're starting to outgrow our little 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. We have our eyes set on a little townhome in Penasquitos.
However, exciting changes are not without trials. Valerie's hours at work have recently been cut and we are preparing for her maternity leave. Losing this income is significant to us with a new baby and a home buying process underway.
In the meantime, I've been officiating hockey games to try and pick-up some extra money. It's not fun, but the extra cash will be useful.
The homebuying process has been trying as well. The property is a short sale and there have been some problems with the approval. The timing of the move and the baby is almost simultaneous and that has been a concern as well.
However, the Bible says that "without faith it's impossible to pleas God." Without trials, there would be no opportunities to please Him.
This has been a rollercoaster ride of blessings and trials. But we must count our blessings as we surely know that there are people in far worse shape. We know that the Lord will provide as long as we trust Him.
